Kirtan Details

Kirtan:

Saturday Aug 31st, 7pm Vancouver Community kirtan/potluck will happen at a private home at 4852 Vista Place, West Vancouver.

Please allot enough time for unexpected bus/traffic delays and to arrive by 6:50pm. Kirtan will start around 7pm.

Please bring a cushion to sit on. And food to share for the potluck if you’re intending to stay for socializing and food.

Kirtan is a spiritual practice. So kindly keep your children younger than 11 at home. If you think your child can stay quiet and behave for two hours, then please contact me to let me know.

In order to maintain the kirtan energy, I am asking folks not to partake in food before or during the kirtan nor to loudly socialize during changes of the facilitators. Once the food has been blessed by the kirtan energy, then we can eat after the kirtan finishes.

We will be chanting in an enclosed space and sitting close together. Please be in good respiratory health. Kindly refrain from attending if you have a contagious respiratory condition.

An occasional cough is probably not enough to worry about. But an active cold or more serious cough might be.

Video and pictures will be taken. Message me if you want your face blurred.

Thank you for supporting us with an energy exchange of $15 cash to help children and families in India and for the continuation of Vancouver Community Kirtan.

We don’t like etransfer, so kindly bring cash.

You’re welcome to leave after the kirtan. If you have time and the inclination, please stay for the potluck afterwards and build community. If your dish is meat or vegan, then please label it as such. Non-alcoholic beverages please if you bring a beverage.

Kirtan is an opportunity to connect with our divine spirit of peace, bliss, strength, wisdom, non-fear, faith, and compassion. Please feel free to clap, get up and dance, and let your spirit soar in joy. Thank you and look forward to chanting, sharing food, building community, and celebrating life with you,

Harreson
