Practice Hare Krishna: various tempos and kirtan cues

If you’re practicing on your own, you can hum the response, so you can keep track of whether you’re on a call or a response.

Slow tempo:
2 CR melody 1a: start out at 72 bpm
2 CR melody 1b: 1st CR slightly faster 78 bpm, 2nd CR then somewhere 80
2 CR melody 2b: 1st CR mid 80s bpm, 2nd CR up to 90 bpm
2 CR melody 2a: 1st CR 92 bpm, 2nd CR 94 bpm

Mid tempo
1 CR melody 1a: 102 bpm
1 CR melody 1b: 105 bpm
1 CR melody 2a: 107 bpm
1 CR melody 2b: 112 bpm

Kirtan Cue: “Altogether!”
many CR of melody 2a as you keep on increasing the tempo up to at least 130 bpm.
reach crescendo and hold it for a bit

Kirtan cue: “3!”, “2!”, “1!”
must say the cue before the next downbeat, so on beat 6 or 7 is fine

Decrescendo: Down to high 80s-low 90s bpm

Slow CR: slow down to 70s

Kirtan Cue: “Altogether” – continue with slow 70s bpm

Kirtan Cue: “Last 3 times” and start to get towards ending tempo of 68 bpm

Kirtan Cue: “Last time” – see if you can end with 68 bpm
